  1. Hey there world traveler. Have you recovered from the day of flying and driving? Hows the food? Do you miss school terribly? Zeke and Sawyer miss having you around… but I have to admit, they stole your space heater for their bedroom just as soon as you left. I stopped them before they took anything else. 😉

Tonight is the pinewood derby. I am thinking of dragging their butts over to the gym to watch the race, but that might make us all miserable. I’m so glad no one is competing this year.

I know I am not supposed to watch the Walking Dead, but what about Modern Family? I’ve got to watch SOMETHING to help me pass the time while you and dad are gone. 😉

I love you and am doing my best to not worry. Please try to enjoy every single minute – take a few risks and put yourself out there by trying the language, the food, and by making new friends, k? And, do me a favor – watch for ways that God is opening your mind and expanding your understanding of himself. Don’t miss a thing.

    praying, and waiting.

  2. I am still baffeld by the fact that a poor guatamalan women (who makes $1.00 a day) is able to make better tasting (and better for you) meal than a school who makes $250-$400 ady ber lunch hour.

    • I bet you are. Those trips are incredible in many ways, but they are also physically exhausting. I am so proud of you for doing this. I don’t think you will regret it. And, when all is said and done and Guatemala is just a memory, you probably won’t remember how tired you are right now. You’ll remember the good stuff. At least, that’s what I am praying.

  3. Hi Caleb,
I hope your doing well and learning a lot about Guatemala. Well it sounds like your done building homes and now the next couple of days you’ll be providing medical support. Thank you for your willingness to serve others that are obviously in need of physical help along with the need to hear about Jesus. Take good care of your dad and we are eager to hear the stories when you all return home. God bless you!

  4. two more sleeps! yea! I will make sure you have clean sheets on your bed and your pillows are nicely puffed when you get home. I hope your days got a little easier after the ‘hard’ labor was done. Have fun shopping tomorrow and see you very, very soon.
